Pat Plattner brings her own special touch to every piece of jewelry she creates. Massage therapist, esthetician and Reiki practitioner, Plattner lives a fulfilling life coupled with her favorite hobby turned business: handmade jewelry. Off the Cuff Handmade Jewelry is Plattner’s creation, the product of her creativity and a desire for finely crafted accessories.
Plattner once saw a leather cuff bracelet at an outrageous price and wondered if she could recreate it for herself. Once she did, she realized she was having fun with her newfound hobby and had a knack for it. Eventually, Plattner’s husband suggested she sell her creations and she began to build a business. Her new business would grow after she went to a gem show and fell in love with the different healing energy different gems could project.
Today, Off the Cuff Handmade Jewelry has grown to include a variety of individual designs and it will be featured at the Artisans Marketplace here at the ENC. Plattner is no newcomer to the Marketplace and she looks forward to joining us every year. After a visit to the ENC with her grandchildren, Plattner fell in love with the Center. “I think the Center is a great education tool for young and old,” says Plattner, “we need more facilities like this.” As for the Artisans Marketplace, Plattner has been doing the event for years because she loves meeting local families and other families as she sells her products. Plattner’s jewelry can be characterized by its fine craftsmanship much like the other vendors that join the Artisans Marketplace and each piece is unique making it a one-of-a-kind gift.
