Artisans Marketplace Preview: David W Shuyler

I was born in SO CA, the son of a Kansas cabinet maker. As a ‘4th’ generation wood worker from a young age I’ve appreciated the effects of rubbing sandpaper on wood and seeing its beauty shine. I went to Newport Harbor High School and made my first contribution to the ENC (Environmental Nature Center) as a Senior. The opportunity to come back 40 years later as an Artisan and contribute has really brought me to my roots. Being a custom woodworker has allowed me some awesome occasions to work on beautiful yachts, planes and homes. The last ten years I’ve been walking and training dogs on the side while pursuing my artistic expressions. So now I present to you my labor of love and my return to the simple…

Artisans MarketplacePreview: Shoulda, Coulda, Wooda!

I volunteered at the Imaginology Festival and the OC Fair this year to educate and encourage other young artists in the field of scroll sawing. I also enjoy handcrafting jewelry by making beaded and wooden earrings (out of various hardwoods) and crotcheted beaded necklaces. This is my fifth year selling at the ENC Christmas Artisans Marketplace and I have made many fun memories since I started!…
