HOW YOU CAN HELP
Invest in your community while investing in early childhood education!
The Environmental Nature Center is a non-profit organization that relies on funding from memberships and program fees, as well as private and corporate donations.
Help us Retire the Debt. The ENC completed construction of its state of the art Nature Preschool and opened its doors to students in September 2019. As part of the capital campaign to bring this project to fruition for our community, the Center purchased the land where the school resides for $3.275 million and the cost of construction totaled just over $8 million. The project total was approximately $11.275 million. Through the generous support of our community we have raised just over $7 million. The ENC borrowed $1.7 million from its endowment to secure the property and took out a $2.6 million dollar construction loan to complete the project. Thus, we still need to raise $4.3 million dollars to retire the debt. Please help us by making a pledge or consider a naming opportunity to leave a legacy for your business, your family or in honor of a loved one. You can donate HERE.
Donate to the ENC Nature Preschool Scholarship Fund. Founded in 2019, the ENC Nature Preschool, our community’s first nature-based preschool, has a mission of providing quality early childhood education through hands-on experience with nature. The 10,380-square-foot facility delivers nature-based education to children ages 2 ½ to 5 daily, engages parents in active learning, serves as a model nature preschool and provides a research forum on early childhood and environmental education. The ENC Nature Preschool is making renewed efforts to increase student diversity to assure equitable access to nature and environmental education for underserved youth in our community. Scholarships are provided to at-risk children from families who need financial help, adding additional diversity to our student body. You can donate HERE.
