“Allan is a brilliant photographer and ecologist. We are thrilled to have him join our Adult Speaker Series,” said ENC Executive Director Bo Glover. “Allan’s knowledge of Orange County’s wildlife seems endless, and we are honored to have him speak at the Center.”
Allan is the author of several books including “A Natural History of California”, “Natural History of the Islands of California”, and “Wild and Beautiful: A Natural History of Open Spaces in Orange County”. He taught a long-running course on natural history of California at UCI, and he is emeritus professor of ecology in Fullerton College.
“So many of Allan’s past students – now teachers themselves – have contacted us to say that we was their professor when they were in college,” said ENC Director of Communications Lori Whalen. “It’s neat to think of how many folks Allan has influenced over the years – and he’s still at it!”
Guests will enjoy an open house with appetizers and Esser wine donated by the Apkarian Family, followed by the speaker at 7PM. This is an adult only event. Tickets ($15 for non-members and $10 for members) are available HERE.
