What’s your favorite part of the Fall Faire?

fallfaire2

The Fall Faire is just around the corner, Sunday October 13 from 10AM to 3PM!  We asked some community members what their favorite part of the faire is.  Here is what they said:

“I enjoy the pumpkin patch because there is such a variety of different pumpkins. It is always a highlight at the faire.” – Darlene Letnes, ENC Museum Docent

The pumpkin patch is always a favorite among children and adults alike. With a variety of different shapes and sizes, everyone will find a pumpkin perfect for carving. The pumpkin patch is also a great place to take a family photo to remember all the fun.  Pumpkin sale proceeds will be going to our environmental education programs.

Fall Faire 08“It’s one of the few events that brings the entire community together. It has become a tradition in our community and I love that.” – Bo Glover, Executive Director at the ENC

The Fall Faire is one of the largest fundraisers here at the ENC. The faire is an annual event that began in the early 1980s. Its kid friendly activities and great local food attracts 1000’s of community members each year.

“I enjoy watching children enjoy the games and crafts.” – Jeanine Fletcher, ENC Naturalist

The faire features crafts suitable for all children. Purchase a re-usable ENC canvas bag for $5 – it’s your ticket to create six different crafts! Crafts at this year’s Faire include “Spooky Bag Trees,” “Festive Fall Garland,” “Recycled Spiders”, “Weave-a-Web”, “Squish-a-Seed” and “Scarecrow Seed Bags”.  There will also be a station where you can decorate your reusable bag.

“I like how it puts me and other people into the fall spirit.” – Meghan Lockwood, ENC Naturalist

Make you own memories and find out what your favorite part of the ENC Fall Faire is this Sunday from 10 am- 3 pm.  – Kayla Bernard, ENC Intern
