The Environmental Nature Center will host a Native Plant Sale on November 19th, from 9am to 3pm. Homeowners are invited to purchase various plants native to Orange County for their yards. Proceeds support the ENC’s mission to provide quality education through hands-on experience with Nature.
Native Plants can help save money, water, and reduce pesticide use while attracting birds and butterflies to gardens. Planting is most successful when the season’s first rain begins to fall making this the perfect time to purchase native plants.
According to the California Native Plant Society, planting native plants is one of the most significant ways to create a drought-tolerant landscape, using about 75% less water than other plants. For more information about the native plant sale, email Hilary.
