Local Wildlife with Sandrine Biziaux Scherson

Local WildlifeA picture is worth a thousand words. Sandra Biziaux Scherson lives, breathes, eats, and sleeps photography. Nature and wildlife are her favorite subjects, and the world around her is her inspiration. Henri Carier-Bresson, the master of candid photography, once said, “To photograph is to hold one’s breath, when all faculties converge to capture fleeting reality. It’s at that precise moment that mastering an image becomes a great physical and intellectual joy.”

Photography is more than just clicking a button and snapping a picture. Sandrine Biziaux Scherson has been mastering photography for years. “However detailed a photograph, it remains mysterious. So much goes into making an image happen at a particular instant, for the photographer to shoot at the right angle, at the right time, and in the right light,” said Sandra Biziaux Scherson.

Catching that perfect moment as a truly majestic creature strides slowly and silently, creeping up on its prey, is truly a gift.

Sandrine has been spending almost every day capturing perfect moments of wildlife, birds, and also landscapes. “A photograph is a secret about a secret. The more it tells you the less you know. And that is the way you should see it, for its beauty is in the object, in the light, in the eye that saw it … and your feelings in front of it.”

On April 24, 2016 Sandra Biziaux Scherson is sharing her magnificent photographs at the Environmental Nature Center. The presentation will take place at 6PM and feature striking photographs of local wildlife. She will also share a short intriguing story about where and when she took the photo, as well as neat interesting facts about each animal. Her love and passion for nature and photography has transformed in her photographs as she captured the beauty and essence in nature.
