Leader in Training Application

Thank you for your interest in being a part of the Leader in Training program at the Environmental Nature Center. In this program, high school students are assigned to a group of up to 10 campers, age 5 to 13, who are also under the constant supervision of an adult teacher. The L.I.T.’s assist the teachers in many aspects of the camp program, and develop their leadership skills in the process.

Things you need to know before you volunteer: Student must be enrolled in High School. Summer Leaders in Training (LITs) can be entering high school in the fall. Once we receive this application and reference form we will contact YOU to schedule an interview. Experienced LITs need not submit a reference form or interview. Submittal of this application does not guarantee that you are accepted for this volunteer position. ALL LITs are REQUIRED to attend LIT training for each camp the student is signing up to volunteer (see scheduled dates on website). Do not apply to be an LIT unless you can make it to training. LIT’s must bring school paperwork that needs a signature on the last day of volunteering.
