COVID-19/novel coronavirus

The California State Public Health Officer and Director of the California Department of Public Health has ordered all individuals living in the State of California to stay home or at their place of residence. The Environmental Nature Center therefore is closed to the public until further notice.

The ENC is closely monitoring the latest developments around COVID-19/novel coronavirus.  We are committed to the health and safety of our visitors as well as our community. You are our top priority.

We are taking COVID-19/novel coronavirus extremely seriously. We are taking the following steps:

  1. The Environmental Nature Center museum will be closed until further notice in response to the COVID-19/novel coronavirus.
  2. All public programs are cancelled through March 31.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, older adults (ages 65 and higher) as well as people who have serious, chronic medical conditions (like heart disease, diabetes and lung disease) are at higher risk for contracting COVID-19. These individuals should remain at home.
