Looking for a meaningful way for your child to spend summer outdoors? Wilderness Adventure Camp at the ENC Tucker Wildlife Sanctuary invites kids to unplug, explore, and discover the natural world through hands-on science, play, and creativity.

Led by ENC’s experienced Naturalist educators, campers spend their days immersed in nature—hiking canyon trails, observing wildlife, meeting animal ambassadors, and exploring science concepts through games, experiments, crafts, and curiosity-driven discovery.
The Environmental Nature Center has offered Nature Camps since 1977, and our camps are rooted in experiential outdoor learning. Campers explore oak woodlands, streams, and canyon habitats using tools like binoculars, nature journals, magnifying lenses, and microscopes—learning science in a way that feels active, fun, and alive.
Located in Modjeska Canyon beside the Cleveland National Forest and the Modjeska Wilderness Preserve, Tucker offers a truly immersive outdoor camp experience. Each week includes walking field trips into these beautiful natural areas, giving campers the opportunity to experience Southern California’s wild landscapes up close.
Wilderness Adventure Camp provides:

Time: 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM (4 hours daily)
Location: ENC Tucker Wildlife Sanctuary, Modjeska Canyon
Fee: $375 per session
ENC Members receive 10% off camp registration.
- Refund requests made 2 weeks or more prior to the start date of camp are subject to $50.00 fee per session of camp.
- Less than 2 weeks notice, no refund requests will be processed.
- Absent Campers: There are no refunds, make up days or credits for days missed for any reason (including sickness/illness). The ENC depends on income from camps for the continued operations of the Center.
- All session changes will incur a $25.00 fee.
