Times of transition are important. As we stand on a boundary between stages of life, we can look back on who we have been, and gaze forward at who we shall become. You are ready to begin the transition from childhood to adolescence.
As we stand on this boundary, we can become Ravens.
The Order of the Raven is an eight day experience designed for students entering 6th, 7th, and 8th grades. Under the guidance of our Head Bird, the Ravens will challenge themselves, explore new ideas, and learn skills that will help them soar into adolescence with confidence.
Each day, Ravens will have the chance to practice useful life skills in a safe, cooperative environment. From tracking to fire making to first aid… to writing excellent thank-you notes, we focus on establishing independence in the suburban jungle. Ravens also spend time every day learning how to teach others, and will lead younger ENC Nature Campers in a variety of activities (yes, there will be singing!). On walking field trips, Ravens get a chance to explore the resources available in their own neighborhoods by visiting local businesses. We also focus on learning how to make our own entertainment, and how to make wise choices in a very busy world.
Space is extremely limited. We are now accepting applications for the 2018 Fledge Class.
Will you fly with us?
