The Return of the Ravens

Entering 7th or 8th grade?

Caw, caw! The Ravens are calling and are ready to guide you through one of the most important transitions: childhood to adolescence. Ravens are responsible, independent, and benevolent. Do you have what it takes to join the Order of the Raven?

Ravens will sign a contract to pledge their responsibility and embark on an eight day journey designed for students entering 6th, 7th, and 8th grades. Our Head Bird will guide Ravens as they face challenges, explore new ideas, and learn skills that will help them soar into adolescence with confidence.

Ravens learn both life and outdoor skills like fire making and thank you note writing. After learning a new skill, Ravens will teach and lead younger ENC Nature Campers through activities the following day.

ravens_2014With a focus on establishing independence in the suburban jungle, Ravens will go on walking field trips to learn about resources in their neighborhood. They will visit local businesses for “behind the scenes” tours and see different skill sets in action!

The last day of camp will allow Ravens to put their new skills to work as they become Leaders in Training (high school level volunteers that assist with campers). The day will end with Ravens celebrating their achievements on an exciting kayaking trip in the Newport Back Bay!

The 2017 Fledge Class takes flight June 26, 27, 28, 29 and July 3, 5, 6 & 7, from 9AM – 3PM.

Apply now to develop leadership, life and outdoor skills while making friends in a safe, cooperative environment. Visit here for more deTails.
