February’s event will feature Red Knit Cap Girl by Naoko Stoop. We will make our own paper lanterns, create phases of the moon with Oreo cookies, and meet one of our live Animal Ambassadors featured in our story.
Parents remain with children at all times. All ages welcome. Bring your own blanket or towel.

10:30 – rotations to learn more and get creative
BOOK SWAP: We would like to invite you to participate in a new feature of our Reading in the Redwoods family literacy program, a Book Swap! After hearing stories under our Redwood trees, families will have a chance to visit our Book Swap Station as one of the scheduled activities in order to exchange books. Please bring your enjoyable read for any level (baby-adult books, nature-related are encouraged but not required). Swapping items reduces waste in the landfill, eliminates packaging, conserves energy, and much more.
