The Teachers Night Out series brings all kinds of educators together for fun afternoons of learning exciting hands-on ways to teach children about science and nature. Everyone is invited! Classroom teachers, outdoor educators, scout leaders, homeschool parents – anyone who wants to be a better educator.
Join us as we walk through the Center, after hours, to discover some fun ways you and your students can learn about‘scary’ plants and animals – just in tome for Halloween!
Many people – adults and children alike – fear ‘scary’ plants and animals, like poison oak, snakes, spiders, and insects. But there are so many fun things we can learn from these valuable members of our ecosystem! Join ENC staff and guest speaker Skie Bender from Wolf Haven as we learn how to engage students with ‘scary’ science. This workshop’s target audience is middle school teachers, but anyone is welcome to attend.
