This is event will host the much-anticipated opening of Orange County’s one and only Butterfly House, which provides an opportunity to learn about the diets and habits of California’s native butterflies. Native plants will also be on sale so attendees can attract beautiful birds and insects to their backyards while saving water.
Children’s art from all over the community will also be on display. With the “Trashy Yet Classy” theme for this year’s faire, attendees will be given the chance to appreciate the inventive ways that young artists have been able to capture the significance of our environment. Prizes will also be given out to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners in all age categories so artists can show off their work with pride!
$5 reusable bags will be available as a “ticket” for attendees to participate in our awesome crafting events in which they’ll be making tie-dyed butterflies, cocoon necklaces, and much more. Henna tattoos and face painting will also be available for those with a fancy for body art.
And what would a Spring Faire at the ENC be without the attendance of our earthly neighbors? Live hawks and owls from the OC Bird of Prey Center will be on display, Wolf Totem Ambassadors will bring along their ambassador wolves, and OC Reptile Rescue will grace attendees with reptiles and invertebrates, giving everyone a chance to learn about some of the amazing creatures we share our planet with.
Musicians will be there to set the festive mood with sing-alongs by Birdsong and the Eco-Wonders and performances by the Young Singers of Orange County, while students from the Community Roots Academy will read a book they impressively wrote themselves!
Tying all of these festivities together will be some awesome food from local restaurants and fun games for the whole family. Attendance is completely free! This is a fundraiser, though! Proceeds benefit our environmental education programs.

We can’t wait to see you there!
