Daily Pilot: Newport’s Environmental Nature Center breaks ground for new preschool

February 16, 2018: City leaders and other community members celebrated the groundbreaking for the Environmental Nature Center’s 8,000-square-foot, three-classroom preschool Thursday evening in Newport Beach. The preschool will be built next to the nature center’s redwoods. January 3, 2018: Bo Glover, executive director for the Environmental Nature Center, was given the Community Champion of the Month award at a Dec. 29 Los Angeles Lakers game. As executive director, Glover has helped raise funds to purchase the Center’s property from the Newport-Mesa School District, build Orange County’s only native butterfly house, and build an 8,500 square-foot learning center. April 27, 2017:  Mother’s Market & Kitchen, a natural and organic foods retailer with seven Orange County stores, has donated $5,000 to the Environmental Nature Center (ENC) from the sale of grocery bags.
