Part Time Traveling Naturalist

The Environmental Nature Center is seeking an extraordinary part time Traveling Naturalist/Camp Teacher to teach  environmental and social science education programs to children. The Naturalist/Camp Teacher’s goals are to encourage students’ awareness and appreciation of the environment, broaden students’ knowledge of science concepts, and foster students’ commitment to the protection of the natural environment. The Traveling Naturalist/Camp Teacher is also responsible for creating and implementing age and theme-appropriate curriculum for the sessions of camp they are scheduled to teach. Applications will be accepted through the end of September. The position begins in October. Hours are extremely variable (i.e. 10 – 20 hours/week) and the starting wage is $12.50/hour (slightly higher during camps). email us if you have questions.

Preschool Director

The Environmental Nature Center is searching to hire a dynamic, proven, energetic forward thinking Nature Preschool Director who is not afraid of getting a little dirty and a little wet now and then. The Nature Preschool Director reports directly to the Executive Director and is responsible for oversight and management of the ENC’s Nature Preschool, including the Preschool’s staff and programming. The Preschool Director will also be responsible for implementation of the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) accreditation standards, as well as the development and implementation of a strategic business plan for future growth of the program.
